It funny though, seems especially those clubs fans who are maybe just shy of the mega club status (Spurs and Arsenal come to mind) are always going on about being a "big club" My Arsenal mate does it all the time, said to him what's the fucking point, who gives a shit. but he still trots it out all the time keeps going on about them being a CL club, the Europa and conference are for the small fry.

Rangers are definitely bigger than every club in Scotland bar possibly Celtic. Both are medium sized fish in a small pool.

Celtic and Rangers are huge clubs in a tiny, almost waterless, pond.
And that stops them growing any further.
Not that it will happen, so it’s purely theoretical, but if they joined the Premier League, both would likely become big players - Liverpool/Arsenal sized clubs: that sort of revenue. Their domestic, and latent global, support would bring them in a lot of money.
But they are severely limited by Scottish football. Their current sponsorship/commercial revenues are child’s play in the Premier league.

West Ham's annual turnover is over £250m and Rangers is £83m. WH's TV income was around twice what Rangers total annual income for the year was.
They and Celtic are big fish in a small pond and should really be in a UK PL. But then Scotland would lose a little of it's identity but be massive clubs again...

Not sure if they've won any cups but this Rangers has one League title and are comfortably second in a two horse League.

Celtic have obviously dropped off replacing Postecoglou with the inferior Rodgers who doesnt seem to get the same out of them.

Yeah Rangers are probably bigger than us in terms of fan base.
Them and Celtic are massive clubs. It’s just the league they are in that prevents them from being bigger in terms of competing with the big clubs in Europe.
Don’t want either of them in the EPL though.
Keep that Sectarian/Religious bullshit in Scotland where it belongs.

A reasonable way to judge a club's global standing in the MODERN era is look at their social media followings - Rangers have less than 800k on X, West Ham have 2.7m, Rangers 960k on Facebook, West Ham have 4m
Not exactly scientific but a pretty good indicator who the bigger club is
